About

Chris was born on 15 February 1985 in Watford General Hospital. Despite being very premature and weighing just 2lbs, he made it through. He grew up in Watford, attending local schools (Alban Wood Infant and Primary schools and Parmiter’s secondary school) and community groups such as his local Scout Group (9th North Watford).

Following his A-levels, Chris went to the University of Essex where he studied for a degree in Modern History and Politics, followed by a postgraduate year studying History. At university, Chris was involved in clubs and societies, including St John Ambulance UNIT where he became an Advanced First Aider and was trained how to deliver Entonox and use a defibrilator in addition to the ‘standard’ first aid skills, and the Mountaineering Club (UeMC) where he regularly climbed in the artifial wall and out on real rock.

Following graduation, Chris returned to his home town of Watford where he started working for a “Big 4” accountancy firm, alter moving to their Canary Wharf office to continue his career in Risk Managament. He also became involved in local community groups, such as Scouting where was an Assistance Scout Leader for eight years and became the Cub Scout Leader running the section for the young people in eary 2016. Chris also took on the additional role as Media Development Manager for Watford North Scout District, running the media and external communications and increaseing the profile of Socuting locally.

Chris also somehow finds the time to go running and raise money for charitable causes, running the London Triathlon as a relay team in 2015 to raise money for the 9th North Watford Scout Group, completing it in 3hrs and 2 minutes, and being part of a team which completed the ‘Three Lakes Challenge’, rowing the three longest lakes in England (40km) in 9 hours and 59 minutes to raise money for Cancer Care.
